This new beer is called "Nordeast." It is a dark, amber beer that its creators say is a little "hoppier" and a little "maltier" than your typical American lager. Nordeast was brewed in a 150-year-old brewery, the oldest operating brewery in the state of Minnesota. It is only fitting that each bottle of Nordeast comes with its own history lesson.

Nordeast comes from Northeast and it was heavily immigrated by North and Eastern European immigrants. They had trouble saying the 'th' in Northeast so it came out as a 'd' as 'Nordeast' Minneapolis," said Jace Marti, a 6th generation family member of Schell.
